What's in your lipbalm?
Just ingredients you'd recognise - coconut oil, beeswax, honey and macadamia oil, plus the scented varieties contain a lip-safe frangrance oil and/or food grade essential oil. Everything is sourced from NZ and the Pacific Islands (#supportlocal), with the exception of the flavouring oil.

Why do you use plastic lipbalm tubes in an ecofriendly kit?
Because plastic lipbalm tubes are not actually single use items. They can be used again and again, for years if you look after them. By contrast, the Kraft paper tubes that you see around ARE single use. They get greasy, and they can't be cleaned very well to refill. To our way of thinking, this makes the plastic tubes WAAAAY more sustainable.
Can I clean out lipbalm tubes I already have, and refill those?
Yes! Any plastic lipbalm tube can be reused. Just buy one of our refill kits for full instructions and enough balm to make 4 fill size 5gm lipbalms.
LipSTICK tubes are a bit different, however. These need a lipstick mold to be filled properly, because they don't work quite the same way that lipbalm tubes do. But lipstick molds are really cheap, simple to use, reusable and we'll be stocking those in the future also.
Can I take your kits to Australia?
No. Our understanding is that NZ bee products cannot be taken through Australian customs. If you're really keen on doing this, we recommend you get in touch with Australian Customs directly.

You mention ecofriendly a lot - I bet you ship in plastic bags!
Nope! Our parcel packaging is 100% compostable, from the outer bag to any protective wrap inside.
How do you deliver free for Christchurch Non-Rural addresses?
We don't! There is a cost, but we suck it up as our little thank you to our local customers. If that's you, thank you!
Why is there an extra fee if my address is rural, and who decides if it is?
All courier companies charge an extra fee for rural delivery. Unfortunately, we need to pass that onto you. The courier companies decide what is rural or not - we don't get a say in that!
How quickly can you ship my parcel?
Your order will be packed and ready to go within 24 hours. We have someone who really enjoys packing things up for postage (we know; it's weird), so your parcel will be ready for the courier to pick up ASAP. After that, we have to deal with delivery delays due to the couriers, just like you.
Where is my parcel?
All our deliveries are tracked. If it seems to be taking awhile, please let us know and we will follow that up for you.
Do you ship to countries outside NZ?
Our shipping options at checkout are for shipping within New Zealand only. If you are outside of NZ, please contact us on the contact page. We can always arrange something!
